Day 22
Yesterday we stumbled across the water pistols that Nana got you for Christmas- we had forgotten about them! You figured out today that you can pop the cork and refill them by yourself! You were putting out “fires” with them (yes there is a slight obsession with Fireman Sam these days). You soon realised that drinking from the pistol is pretty fun (don’t you remember doing that as a kid?! Mmm delicious plasticy goodness).
You “saved Dad” from drowning by pulling him off the couch and munted him slightly- you got him an apple to make him feel better. It seemed to work.
Tonight we also went to visit Nan in hospital- she seems to be travelling ok;) Love you Nan x
Fave quotes of the day:
– Dad told you that Jesus was a kind of builder (another TV obsession is Bob the Builder), I said “Yep, he built tables and furniture- he was a carpenter”, you turned to me excited and said “Oh! And he built houses AND he built trees!!!” Hehe. Dunno about the houses bit, but you were pretty spot on with the trees:D
– “Oh no! New Zealand is REALLLLY far! There is water in the way, we are going to have to swim there!”
– Ammon remembered to tell his Nursery teachers at Church he needed to go to the toilet… Adam asked him which one he told and he said “Ummm the one with no fluff on his face” (Haha shot Sarah;)
– we were lying in my bed chatting and you smiled and said “You’re like Grandma”. Best compliment ever:)

I totally remember that plasticky water gun taste! Classic childhood sensory memory I would have never thought of if I hadn’t seen your picture 🙂 Love the expression on his face in the third – I’m not sure, as adults, we ever feel THAT much wonder at the world!
Thanks Georgia. We certainly don’t feel that much wonder from a passing car in the night! I remember watching a kid dancing around a train platform one day singing about the train coming… he was SO excited. It’s a shame we lose that as we grow older.
PS I got him to squirt one in my mouth too- I couldn’t resist;)
Your photos are magnificent – I just love the colour intensity.
Thanks Sarah- I’m a sucker for colour!
oh that really is the best compliment ever isn’t it!! What a sweet boy you have Fi!
