Day 26

Ah Australia Day! How I love this holiday. Today was a bit lazy- traditionally we usually catch up with friends for breakfast, play games and have a BBQ, due to the rain this year- it didn’t happen (the park was pretty much flooded) which saddened me a bit!

Ammon played in the garden while Nana and Poppa did some yard work, Adam and I caught up on a little bit of work. Napped with the lad (so needed!) then made the most rockin’ dinner!

The menu consisted of: Porterhouse steak, an amazing salad (pumpkin, feta, grated beetroot, avocado, slithered almonds, semi sundried tomatoes, baby spinach, capsicum, carrot and homemade basil & cashew pesto- yum!) homemade wedges with rock salt, delicious juice with floating mint leaves. Followed by watermelon, sweet pineapple and of course lamingtons! Mmmmmmm!

We had a blissful evening eating outside, enjoying one anothers company:) I love this country we live in!

This little lady is not supposed to be in season, but she graced us with a flower none the less- aren’t wisterias just so beautiful?!

So want to! One day sister! (Hmmm should probably attempt to come before baby is born huh? Otherwise it might hold me up another few years;)

    Oh that salad sounds awesome!
What is it with you ladies posting lovely food shots and making me hungry at odd hours? lol

Sorry! I have noticed a rather late night pattern with you and I Pamela haha.

I will try to post food shots earlier next time, although yummy food ones are generally dinner… then it’s bedtime routine THEN computer… you have been warned;)
