Day 45

Today was a long day. I had my first antenatal checkup at the hospital, with Ammon in toe, we waited and waited, and waited. Ammon was good, yet slightly hypo;)

We finally got in to see the midwife, and it was time for the usual checks, blood pressure, babys heart beat, then the measuring part, which didn’t go quite according to plan… The midwife was terribly concerned that our little bundle was much too small, and started rambling about babys development, steroids or emergency delivery, at which point my heart was racing a little. She booked me in for an emergency scan to get a better look at what was going on inside that tum of mine. I called Adam to come and pick up Ammon so I could go through the plethora of checks they then had scheduled for me.

I said a silent prayer, and felt comfort. I didn’t stress, but felt at peace with whatever news I was about to be presented with.

I had my scan, only to see a perfectly healthy, good sized, spread out and relaxed bubba. Today I was grateful for the power of prayer, and the peace it brings.

27 weeks.

I didn’t get to take my shot until quite late at night, I love Adams feet poking in the bottom corner there:)

I am so glad things went well, I know how stressful the testing and waiting can be!

Thanks Shannon. Yes it was a very long day! 4 hours of waiting and tests is no fun at all. Luckily it was all for nothing:)

In pregnancy I am so grateful we have the priesthood – and PRAYER! I’d have lost my mind by now. I got stressed even at the scans so can’t imagine waiting that long for tests ;).
