Day 72

The other day I popped by our house to check out the progress to find it freshly painted. It looked beautiful, and I had an overwhelming sense of gratitude wash over me. It’s finally starting to look like a home inside!

Today we stopped by to drop off some lights to the electrician and I took a couple of snaps. Hopefully it wont be too much longer until we are moving into our new home!

On another note, tonight while I was lying in bed with Ammon, he turned to me and said “We had a picnic in the carpark last night”… I replied, “It wasn’t last night, but we did have a picnic in the car a while ago, it was fun huh?” He replied, “Yep, it was so exciting mum, and we layed all the seats down in the car park and ate our dinner. We should do it again mum!” I agreed and he rolled back over in an attempt to go to sleep. Oh how he makes me smile. This event was a couple of months ago, and I had forgotten about it, and was surprised he brought it up out of the blue. We had dropped by Nan & Pa’s house before Nan went into hospital to cheer her up. I ducked out and picked up some dinner for them as they were busy packing. It was best that Ammon and I didn’t eat there as it was getting late and they still had a lot to do, so I picked us up some Chinese too. We dropped off their dinner and then pulled into the service station carpark around the corner to eat our dinner. I layed back the seats so we could sit facing each other and chat and eat our dinner. He loved it and I’m glad to know I created a special memory for him:)

Here is Ammon in our front entrance. I can’t wait to see the floor boards are polished! (They will be the lucky last thing to be done:)

… And hiding in the storage cupboard in the garage. (Clearly the stairs are not finished yet;)
