Day 135

Ammon has been saying for a few days now, that he wants to go and take a photo of the stars. We decided to do it tonight, as it may be the last opportunity we have to get out at night for a while, with bubba due in the next few days and all.

We got rugged up (it was freezing!) and headed up Tamborine mountain. We went to the local fish and chip shop and bought some dinner- as yesterday was Mothers Day, the shop counter gave me a beautiful red carnation! We drove to the lookout and had a picnic in the car. We then got our blankets out, and set up on the grass, ready to take some photos. It was FREEZZZZING! If it was cold at home, the mountain was numb!

We had such a good time together. It was so dark- perfect for a little star photography. Ammon and I snuggled, under a pile of blankets while Adam set up his camera and took some shots. Ammon kept running back between Adam and I, and diving back under the blankets. We would laugh and roll around together chanting it’s “f-f-f-f-freazing!” and rubbing eachother to get warm.

Ammon was so excited and so funny all night. When cars would drive by on the road, he would look into the headlights and wiggle his head around and yell “I’m drawing worms with my face!” hahah. So funny! We had so much fun as a family. We were very happy to get back into the car and crank on the heating!
