Day 316

Today on the way home from hospital (wahoo my boys are home!) I was so tired I took a wrong turn. We ended up having to go across the riverside expressway and then back over to head home… the good thing about this was that we got to see the Temple looking so beautiful on the cliffs. I pointed it out to Ammon and bless his little heart he exclaimed “Lets go there… right now! We should go there and chat for a little while” I pulled off the freeway and we decided to say a little prayer when we arrived, to thank Heavenly Father for watching over Ammon.

As we were pulling up, Ammon said, “Oh but we can’t go inside the Temple, we don’t have our white shirts on!” It’s amazing how observant our little ones are:)

We enjoyed a little stroll around the garden and chatted a while.

Ammon fell asleep on the way home and we transferred him gently into his newly arranged bedroom. As he lay there looking so broken and bruised, I couldn’t help but utter another prayer of thanks that our little boy was safe, and alive, and healing. I felt so broken hearted looking at his little swollen face… I could not let he opportunity pass to climb into bed next to him and hold him in my arms a while.

As it is Adams birthday, we enjoyed dinner with his parents (so grateful to them for making it and bringing it over!) Mum also came over to pick up the rest of my washing to wash and dry for me to take some load off. We enjoyed some biscuits made by loving friends and also a amazingly delicious birthday cake baked by another girlfriend. I feel so amazing blessed to have such wonderful family and friends.
