“When you have your hair in a circle like that, (A big side bun)  it looks kinda like a…. “A donut?” No…. A… Prince… essss”A princess?”! YES! (smiles bashfully, then leaning forward and whispering… “yes, you look like a princess!”

Today after I picked ammon up from his first big day at kindy, he was a little cranky from just waking up from his kindy nap. We parked outside our house, and sat a while. We still had no power due to the storms, it was hot, and the boys were both cranky. We decided to go to the park instead of going inside. After the park, we ducked to the shops to I could get some Apples for kindy tomorrow and we decided to get a strawberry milkshake to share to celebrate his new school adventure. When we arrived home, I turned to unbuckle his seatbelt, and he looked and me and asked “Mum… Why do you love me?!” I then rattled off 10 things I love about him, from how me makes me laugh everyday, to how he sometimes picks me flowers, to doing kind things of other people, and always making people crafty gifts, and last of all, how his smile was brighter to me, and made me happier than the prettiest sunset (we are always gushing over and saying how much we love the sunset). By the end of my list, he was brimming (shyly) with joy. His little tounge was poking around inside his mouth (which is does nervously when he thinks something is amazingly cool) and once I mentioned the sunset his little face broke out into the more glorious little grin that stretched right across his face. Abe then made a little squeel, and I said, “Oh, I think Abe agrees, but he also thinks you are the coolest bestest big brother around!, don’t you Abe…” We both looked at Abe who was staring out the window, then he broke into the biggest grin and squeeled again. “Yep! He agrees!” I wish I could bottle that little smile that kept on smiling!
